On Friday, November 15th, JWC Environmental was honored by the Water & Wastewater Equipment Manufacturers Association for our contributions to the industry at their annual association meeting in Florida.  Executives from water and wastewater equipment manufacturers and representative firms gathered to discuss topics that affect water infrastructure and ways we can bring public and political awareness to this important part of our economy.

At the end of the week, WWEMA hosted the Chairman’s Awards Dinner to recognize key players in the water and wastewater industry.  This year the association honored JWC Environmental as winner of the James C. Morriss Member Achievement Award for our work on behalf of WWEMA and the industry.

“JWC is proud to be a member of WWEMA and we are truly honored to be the recipient of the James C. Morriss award,” said Ronald A. Duecker, COO for JWC and Chair of WWEMA’s President Council. “WWEMA performs outstanding service as an advocate before Congress, the EPA and other Federal, State and Local agencies.  Our company and our team have benefited greatly from WWEMA presentations, programs, research, industry news and forums.”

This is the first year the award was given to a company instead of an individual. With the award, WWEMA honored the dedication of several JWC team members for their outstanding contributions in 2013. Team members Drew Maxie, Alec Mackie, Fritz Egger and Ronald A. Duecker worked on WWEMA projects throughout the year. This included developing a large infographic describing America’s crumbling water infrastructure and the need to reinvest in our water systems.

“WWEMA has benefitted greatly by the dedication and talent of the JWC team in helping advance the interests of our industry and is most deserving of this award,” said Dawn Kristof Champney, President of WWEMA.

WWEMA and JWC Environmental have been partners for many years and strive to raise public awareness and Federal funding for new water and wastewater systems.  Listen to a Water Online Radio interview done earlier this year on Ronald A. Duecker and Dawn Kristof Champney.

Also at the meeting Fritz Egger was approved for WWEMA’s 2014 Board of Directors. Mr. Egger is JWCE’s Director of Asia-Pacific operations.
