The move into the 21st century was an exciting time for new products at JWC. In 2000 JWC’s engineer team developed the Screenings Washer Monster (SWM), a patented design to grind, wash and compact headworks screening to produce a high quality discharge that can dispense directly into waste containers. The full line of products washer compactor products was later developed to include the SWM-XE, SWM-XEM and SCM. In 2001 the SWM won the Innovation Technology Award from the Water and Environment Federation (WEF).
In the same year, the Honey Monster Septage Receiving Station (SRS) was introduced. This fully enclosed septage unloading system provides treatment plants a clean and efficient method to bring in septage waste. The SRS featured MonsterTrak, a data acquisition to help facilities properly bill haulers for the received septic waste. Following in the footsteps of the SWM, the Honey Monster won the Innovation Technology Award from the Water and Environment Federation (WEF) in 2003.
