Industrial wastewater screening is the process of removing solids which can clog or damage pumps or interfere with subsequent treatment processes.  Screening in a waste water treatment system is also done to recover valuable resources that can be re-used or recycled.  Screens are an effective and efficient method to remove suspended or floating solids, heavy inorganic solids such as sand, gravel, metal or glass, or excessive amounts of oils and grease from industrial wastewater.

Industrial wastewater can further be cleaned through the use of dissolved air flotation systems (DAFs), which is a chemical/physical separation process.  The water is treated with chemicals that help agglomerate solid materials into large, floatable flocs.  These flocs are skimmed from the surface while the clarified water flows out of the DAF unit onto further processing or for discharge.

JWC offers IPEC Internally Fed Rotary Drum Screens, Externally Fed Rotary Drum Screens as well as Sidehill Screens for a variety of industrial wastewater applications.  Screens are customized to target exactly what is being screened out and insure a high capture rate.

JWC also offers FRC Dissolved Air Flotation Systems, such as plate pack design, open tank design or a compact design for all sorts of industrial wastewater applications.  DAFs and Flocculators are customized for each application to ensure simple operation and to keep odors to a minimum.

Industrial Waste Grinder for Volume and Size Reduction

Some industrial processes can have raw materials or produce waste that contain numerous tough solids.  These solids can clog pumps and create other problems in production.  JWC’s SHRED and HYDRO industrial shredders can be used to grind up solid waste as well as other debris to protect pumps and process equipment.  Grinders can also be uses to reduce the volume of waste and minimize transportation costs.

Industrial Waste Grinder for Closed Loop Systems
