‘Monster’ Tackles Jail Sewage Problems

Mischievous inmates are constantly trying to create havoc by stuffing rags and other stuff down jail cell toilets. According to the Griffin Daily News, the Spalding County Detention Center, Spalding County, GA, is no stranger to this mayhem.

“The Muffin Monster® is a sewage-grinding machine that already processes the wastewater from the Spalding County Correctional Institute. It will soon begin processing the wastewater from the Detention Center. Reports Matthew W. Quinn, staff writer for the Griffin Daily News”.

Video: Because it’s a dirty job and this Monster can do it!

JWC’s Screenings Washer Monster® took on Dirty Jobs® host Mike Rowe for a dirty challenge. The Dirty Jobs crew visited a wastewater treatment plant in Rifle, Colorado where they were introduced to the Monster lurking underground. Mike got to see firsthand the dirty job the Muffin Monster loves to do on a daily basis – grinding up the bad stuff and separating it from the flow of wastewater.

Why? Because it’s a dirty, dirty job, and our Monsters can do it!
