JWC appoints Marsha Robinson as Director of Procurement
February 2010 will be a milestone for Marsha Robinson. Ron Duecker, President of JWC Environmental, and Woodie Chambers, CEO, proudly announce the promotion of Marsha from Materials Group Manager to Director of Procurement.
JWCE’s product line continues to grow rapidly with 17 different systems and more on the way. The company needs a dedicated and detail oriented leader to oversee the teams of employees, parts quality, materials, planning and purchasing at JWCE factories around the world. Over the past twenty-five years Marsha has worked hard and proven she’s the right person for this new position within JWCE.
“We ‘re fortunate to have someone with Marsha’s dedication and personal qualities to fill this important role,” said Woodie. ”Her experience with our products puts her in a strong position to continue growing and developing the Muffin Monster family of solutions.” (more…)

Dear JWC:
I wanted to e-mail you regarding some great customer service that REC has been receiving from the staff at JWC. I contacted Gary Weller yesterday about some electronic O&M manuals. I spoke to Gary at 9:45 am and received the manuals at 10:30 am. WOW! After I sent Gary a reply that I received them I asked if he could send a O&M manual that was for a job two – three years old (Kiowa) and he had them to me in 30 minutes. AGAIN WOW!
Later in the day I spoke to Mike Wolf regarding some parts for the Kiowa unit. Mike was very helpful and is shipping our parts today. AGAIN WOW WOW!
It is a pleasure doing business with JWC and their excellent staff. It is a rare occurrence in these times to find anyone who excels in customer service. This is another reason why we at Ramey Environmental Compliance recommend JWC for all our installations.
Sincerely,
Wayne Ramey

When deciding on the Honey Monster™ John DiVicenzo, of Stewart’s Septic Service, tried many things before he decided on the SRS.
Stewart’s is a well run septic company. Running a private wastewater plant is much cheaper than dumping into the town’s sewer plant. The Honey Monster™ makes it cheaper and easier for John and his crew to run his own plant.
“I like the way the Honey Monster™ works,” John said. “I think the workmanship is really professional. Even the start-up guy (JWC manager Warren Brown) was professional and knowledgeable. He got it working to a tee. JWC was superb all the way.”

This just in from Bob A. at the City of Longmont, Colorado:
Dear JWC and Jim Burke,
We appreciate JWC’s support to the City of Longmont with our wastewater screen. Your customer support to us has been much appreciated. It contrasts with a lot of other vendors/suppliers we work with who disappear after they make the sale.
For you wastewater info-nuts – here’s a little factoid about their WWTP plant:
The Longmont Wastewater Treatment plant is currently rated to treat up to 17 million gallons per day (MGD). It incorporates primary, secondary and tertiary treatment processes to remove organic and inorganic constituents found in wastewater. Treated plant effluent is discharged to the St. Vrain Creek at an average daily flow of approximately 8.0 MGD. (source – http://www.ci.longmont.co.us/pwwu/ww/index.htm#new)

Integrated Screenings Washer Monster® helps clean and compact discharged screenings – at some MSS sites the system captures more trash yet needs fewer trips to the landfill thanks to the SWM.
Several Monster Separation Systems are scheduled for installation in two Illinois wastewater treatment plants as part of stimulus money project early next year.
St. Charles, Illinois has two different pump stations with three existing ‘competitor’ screens. The screens are almost twenty years old, broken down and beyond repair. With the growth in their communities and broken screens, they were also challenged with wide ranges in flow rates and their associated velocities – so upgrading to screens that can handle the the peak flow was extremely critical in this redesign project.
Operators at both facilities saw JWC’s Finescreen Monster and Screenings Washer Monster (SWM) at a convention in Chicago and later toured a local facility to view these Monsters in action.
Dean Wiebenga with Peterson and Matz worked with the plant staff who contracted with the engineering firm Trotter and Associates to design the upgrade to include the JWC screening systems. Trotter and Associates applied for stimulus money in mid-Spring and received the go ahead in mid-Summer. Meccon Industries is the contractor.

Rod Smith at the Burley Idaho WWTP sends his thanks to JWC Product Support staff for all their help. He said Jason Kanawyer was especially helpful in getting the plant and their screens operating the way they should be. Jason was very helpful with extra training support with their Bandcreens and Screenings Washer Monsters. He was also able to take care of a few things the previous contractors had left behind.
Way to go everyone!

Children at the Plantation Library showing off their Muffin Monster reuseable grocery totes!
“Read. Return. Repeat and Go Green” was the motto of this year’s Summer Reading Program at the Helen B. Hoffman Plantation Library in Plantation, Florida. Kudos go to Heyward Inc. – Winter Park office, who donated plenty of our handy reuseable Muffin Monster grocery totes to those children who participated in the Summer Reading Program.

Children planting seedlings as part of the summer reading program.
As part of the program, the children learned different ways to conserve water; planted seedling trees; participated in craft and science projects; and received informative booklets from the American Water Works Association (AWWA), and various Florida City and Public Works departments.
It appears that Plantation has proven that everything was greener at their Library this summer! Read more about the Plantation Library here.

2009 Top Monsters!
…the 2009 JWC Rep Council!
Dwight Craig, Misco Pacific (California); Randy Hamlett, Hamlett Environmental (Michigan); Woodie Chambers; Craig Justice, Heyward (Georgia); Tim Miller, Electric Pump (Minnesota); Greg Jager, G.P. Jager (New Jersey); Bob Russell, Hartwell (Texas).
Every year we invite six reps to spend a week with us discussing the market, what JWC does well, what we don’t do well and what products or improvements the market needs. These discussions help guide our strategic planning for the upcoming year.
This year’s week of discussions was especially helpful in reviewing the government’s implementation of the economic stimulus package and reviewing JWC’s positioning during the planning of current and proposed ARRA funded projects.
So, to the gentlemen of this year’s JWC Rep Council – You ARE the Top Monsters!
